Sorry it has been so long since I’ve updated this thing. I feel like I lose track of time so quickly here. So I will do my best in updating you of what’s been going on in the past couple of weeks.
The clinic has been awesome. Each day we are able to do more tasks and assist the Sisters more. It’s so great. I think that we are finally starting to see just a little fruit from all the hard work. God is finally showing us just a little something and it has been so encouraging. Yesterday, Katie and I went to the clinic in the morning and I am positive that we had a full conversation with every Sister and actually each of them made a point to come talk to us at least once through out the day. It was just great. We are getting to see who they really are behind on all the hustle and bustle of the clinic. I think that they actually enjoy us being around now!:)
We were supposed to be heading to Lesotho tomorrow but because of some issues, we have pushed that back for a couple of weeks. So, for the Easter weekend, we are going up to Alice…I have no idea where that is or what its like…to celebrate Easter with a Pastor that we have a good relationship. He just recently moved to Alice from Jbay. I think it will be nice to see him again!
In discipleship we have been studying the book “Exiles” by Micheal Frost. It was really intense and I think I am still processing every thing. I would recommend the book for sure, but just be ready for your paradigms to be tested just a little. It just really throws into question how we as Christians have functioned in this Christendom world, but how that is dying, and we need to choose to live as Exiles. That being, living how Jesus calls us to live, and not how the the “Church” defines it. It’s been really interesting, but what I really liked about it was that it was practical. It challenged you in every day things like how you care for the environment, where you meet people, how you pour into peoples lives and what it looks like to be authentic. It was sweet.
On another note, I have been praying a lot through what the next step is for me, and one of the options I am considering very strongly is to possibly work with AIM for another year. With that said I am going to have to raise support financially to be able to do this. What it is looking like right now, is that I will probably lead a summer trip to the Philippines for one month for high school students, and then come back here in the fall to help lead the Awakening here in Jbay. I am praying a ton through it, so I ask that you would pray as well that God would confirm those things. I also ask that you would prayerfully consider partnering with me again in my ministry both through prayer and finances. I will keep you updated on what happens.
