This week I did a lot of fasting. My main goal was to really pray for my ministry here, what the next step is for me after this program, and also just sitting with God more. My soul needed it. It yearned for some intimate time with the Lord. It’s hard to find some intimate times with the Lord when you live with 20 Americans, but this week was great. I got to take the time I would normally be eating, and just sit at the feet of God, like in Luke when Jesus goes to visit Mary and Martha. Martha is running around trying to prepare dinner and do all the other “stuff” because Jesus was there, but Mary just stopped what she was doing to sit at Jesus’ feet. To rest in the presence of her Lord. Martha got extremely upset with Mary because she wasn’t helping and complains to Jesus. Instead of Jesus agreeing with her like she had hoped, He tells her that “Mary has chosen what is better.” Sitting at the feet of Jesus is so much better. You find restoration. You feel refreshed. You learn the voice of your Savior.
With that said, the clinic has been awesome this week. God has been all over that place. I feel like we are finally starting to see some fruit. The Sisters get excited when we show up. They seek us out and finally enjoy opening up and telling us about their lives. It’s been a very sweet time with them. We have received more responsibility. I think every day this week we have been able to counsel and help educate the people about their health and how to protect themselves. I was able to help in the pharmacy as well as assist with the TB patients and Emergency patients. Its just been really awesome.
God brought in a man that Hilliary, Katie, and I have been trying to really get to know. God has a HUGE plan for his life if he would only acknowledge and live for God. You can check out his story on Hill’s blog: Hilliaryhutchison.myadventures.org.
We only have five actual weeks of ministry here in JBay. We are traveling some before we head home, but it’s starting to hit us that time if but a vapor. It’s our time now. Its our time to Go big because soon, we are going home. Keep praying for us that we will not get tired of doing good, but we will pour out ourselves completely.

I pray for you guys that you can keep going strong and with passion. I know how hard it is in the middle to keep focused.
You all continue to bless me so much. I am encouraged to fight the good fight of faith and spreading the news of the gospel to those who are lost. You are right, time is short for all of us.
Thanks again for the friends Katie has made.
