Well I suppose its been almost two weeks since I wrote last. I’ve been procrastinating hoping that I would have something better to write about other than just a plain ole update of the past few weeks, but I dont. So an update it is. I offically moved out of my house last Tuesday. It took SEVEN hours, but with the help I had it was actually quite fun. Tiring, but fun. I was pooped. Luckily, I dont have to be totally homeless until I leave. I moved in with my friend April. She is absolutely amazing for letting me intrude for a month and a half until its off to Africa. The house closed this past Friday, and I got to meet the lady that bought my place. She was super nice and very encouraging about my trip as well. This week so far I’ve just been working a few days at my old job to help them out. I seem to be a little more emotionally stable this week. LOL. Loose ends are starting to tie up just nicely. I think that I’m kinda in shock that time is flying by like it is, but I can say that I’m ready to kinda have both feet and all my focus in Africa, and not this strattling stuff I’m doing now. Thanks to facebook, pretty much my entire team has found each other and begun getting to know each other and also encourage each other as we are all going through the same thing. I’m extremely excited. Each person is incredible and I know that God has put us together just the way He wants it. Its pretty much going to rock! Other than that…I’m just hanging out. I’ve become GREAT at just hanging out! I’m enjoying the time to rest and the time I have to spend with people that mean the world to me!
I did find out this week that a friend of mine is going to China for TWO years. How incredible is that???? Oh and did I mention that she leaves in less than two week?? Oh, and she totally just got back from Peru like a week ago! She’s actually my friend that connected me to AIM. I love Anna Vaupel! I’m so incredibly proud of what she’s doing and her boldness to just jump and go where He takes her. And in honor of her…here are a few pictures. It’ll explain why we’re friends:) (She’s the one with the short hair!)
Support is still coming in, but I definately am in need of a couple more thousand. Really a little more than that would be great so I can cover my vaccines and other things like that. Continue to pray for me, for my team, for the funds for ALL of us, and the people we are going to touch.
Welp, see ya later;)
Thanks for the shout-out, Aaryn! I love you lots!!! 🙂
