I can’t believe it…I am in the U.S. of A! I think that getting here was probably the longest two days of my life, but it was totally worth it. It’s so refreshing to be here and just rest and begin to process everything from this semester. Although I have to be honest, jet lag is kicking my tail. I cannot get my sleep schedule back to normal for the life of me…so hopefully I will figure it out soon. I hate being this exhausted. I also have to say that it is FREEZING here. I guess it wasn’t a good choice to bring flip flops home?
The last couple of days in Africa were great. We spent our time saying bye to folks, cleaning, packing, and other stuff to get ready to head back home. Thursday night, the night before I left, was absolutely amazing! Raelynn got baptized. I’m so proud of her! I feel so honored to be apart of everything that God is doing in her life, and there is nothing like seeing God move and heal someone’s life! From watching Raelynn, I have seen the described in the Old Testament in her life. I have seen the God that is madly in love with a sinner. I have seen the God that loves so much that He pursues relentlessly. Its incredible. I have seen the God of Hosea in Raelynn’s life and I am blessed and changed because of it. So at sunset, our “family” got together to walk in the waters of baptism with our sister. Love it.
