A For real Update

  Ok, sorry for the quick and random post earlier.  Free dinner was on the line…and being a missionary now, thats a HUGE thing. Oh, and good news, we totally won so I believe we will be redeeming our free meal this Friday night at the Sunflower.  I’ll let ya know how it goes!
  We are finally settling in to Jbay.  Is absolutely beautiful.  Its way cooler than I was anticipating. Our house is a 10 minute walk from the beach and downtown and about a 5 to 7 minute walk to the townships here in Jbay.  Its a really interesting dynamic to see the separation of blacks, whites, and coloreds all in such a small town.  I’m very interested to really dive into the culture here and yeah!  Well, this week is way different then what a normal week here will be.  We are going around to all the ministries here to figure out where we fit and where we would like to intern here until we leave next May.  I’m really excited about it, and to be honest, am having a difficult time choosing exactly where I want to serve.  They all are just awesome.  I should be able to let y’all know by the end of next week.
  Today was neat though.  I went around with this amazing woman in the township on house visits.  We sat with the sick. Prayed with the sick. Sang with the sick. Just loved on the sick. Since we had some extra time this afternoon we were able to meet a need of one of the ladies we visited, Anna.  She is HIV Positive and has TB as well. NOT a good thing. She has been in need of getting to the hospital in order to get some x-rays done but couldn’t afford to pay to get there.  So we took her.  It was just really awesome to be able to do something simple to help someone out.  Who knows, she may have never made it. ever. 
  Life is good. I’m still resting in the peace that I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.  God has been sooo good to me and my team.  Its unreal.  Continue to pray for favor with the people here in Jbay.  May we have the eyes and heart of Christ to shine His light here.
